Formula 1 returns to Istanbul — and it promises to be one of the most exciting comebacks on the F1 calendar.
After a six-year absence, the Turkish Grand Prix returns to Istanbul Park in 2027, with Formula 1 agreeing a new five-year partnership that will keep the race on the calendar through to 2031.
Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Istanbul Park is one of Formula 1’s most distinctive and challenging circuits. The 5.338km track is renowned for its dramatic elevation changes, fast flowing corners and, most famously, the legendary Turn 8 – a long, multi-apex left-hander that places huge demands on both driver and car.
The return of Formula 1 offers fans the opportunity to experience Istanbul, one of the world’s most captivating cities. Straddling Europe and Asia and divided by the Bosphorus, Istanbul combines a rich cultural heritage with world-class hotels, restaurants, entertainment and hospitality.
