Shanghai International Circuit has been hosting F1® races in China’s most prosperous city since 2004. The brainchild of Hermann Tilke, this iconic track has been designed to represent the shape of the Chinese character “Shang” meaning above or on top. Long straights and tight winding corners, with high tire degradation, make it a unique challenge for drivers.
